Sockburn Hall Project

One of our major projects of the last 18 months has been the complete restoration of Sockburn Hall at Neasham in Darlington.

This was an extensive full sale restoration of a property that is listed at grade two star.

The property was originally built in 1834 reputed to be the home of Sir John Conyers the knight who killed the Sockburn Worm. The hall was purchased by a private individual in October 2015 and restored to its full glory by mid 2017.

We have worked closely with English Heritage on this project as there was significant historic value in the building which had been on the endangered buildings register for almost two decades.

This completes phase one of the Sockburn Hall Project, phase two is to begin in mid 2018.
